See the ideal set-up
Here's what you're building towards on the day — the warm scene families walk into, and a tidy plan of where everything goes. Picture it as you shop.
No baskets or trays yet? Don't buy them if money's tight — paper plates and bowls are perfect for this. Use a plate at each cluster for glue sticks, a bowl for cut-out scraps, and a plate under each child's growing pile of shapes. They're cheap, on-theme (it's a paper workshop!), and stack away after.

Spotlight — Mentone
Click & Collect · done
The take-home vessels — straight-sided glass so the paper collage sleeve slides over and the neck supports the stems. One per child + 2 spares.
Clear open-top tubs for fast pack-up — one for scissors, one for glue sticks, one for paper scraps. See-through, lidless, stackable.

Stop 2
Officeworks — Elsternwick
paper, scissors, glue, kraft
Two swaps, so everything collects same-day: the Daler-Rowney cartridge pad and the Maped scissors were only available Tue 28 Jul, so they're replaced below with in-stock-today equivalents (Keji visual art diary + Studymate scissors).
The collage base (swapped in, A4). A4 panels make a vase around 15–20cm — right-sized for the small 12.7cm jar, where A3 would tower and flop. Each child makes two panels; two 120-page books give plenty + spares.
The bright cutting paper for the cut-out shapes on top — 250 sheets, mirrors Matisse's painted-paper method.
Proper kids' safety scissors (swapped in) — 5 standard + 1 left-handed = 6 for 4 kids, all in stock to collect today.
Glue sticks — three 5-packs = 15, one per child + plenty of spares.
The table runner + scrap mat + still-life spine. One roll lasts many Sundays.
Backup for the glued side seam of the paper vase sleeve — quicker than glue for little hands.
